Why do I need Solid Armor?
-
Because of everything you see below...
Here are some of the things we have been up to lately
Background
You may be familiar with or have at least heard
about Bitcoin, Ethereum, LiteCoin, and so on.
These are systems of computers that interact. The
fundamental principle is that you can Trust
Everybody to Trust Nobody. All of the computers
fight to determine "what is the truth" of various
data, logs and ledgers recorded throughout the
networks. The idea is that in the end you can
trust the systems perhaps more than governments
and businesses.
This process uses a lot of electricity and does
not necessarily produce much real-world useful
work. Meanwhile, it all seems very arcane and
disjoint from existing business practices. To make
matters worse, poor end-to-end security and
misconfigurations have wiped out many hundreds of
millions $ in value to cryptographic 'coin'
account holders.
The theory is good, but the practice... could be
better.
Foreground
Nyneve has designed a system of nodes and cryptography in an effort to bridge the gaps between business and blockchain and trust.
What if there is something that you can trust in all the mix, and that is you yourself?
Consider that economic systems, especially entirely digital economic systems, can eventually become obsolete; and that the idea of an "immutable public ledger" can die when a living system of nodes dies for lack of continued incentive or leaves new greener pastures.
How do you take your value off of an old system and insert it into a new system? Generally you have to trade, through some kind of Exchange process with a trust relationship. Say for example, converting Canadian Currency to U.S. Currency. Somebody at the bank holds your money for a moment.
By designing self-contained objects of cryptography, we have invented a kind of "Immortal Blob" that you can remove from one network and insert into another. You, your cryptographic wallet, and your digital property are more important than the node network(s).
Instead of merely fighting over "the truth", there is now much more incentive for nodes to fight for the opportunity to do something value-added for you.
Middle-ground
Distributed Object Technology, Owner Chain Cryptography and a unique proof of recording mechanism combine to make a simple, elegant, extremely flexible, extremely fast alternative to DLT's
SOLID REALM
The Solid Realm is a blockchain technology capable of physically living in an entirely different realm than we are used to, disconnected from Internet Protocol.
Together with Solid Armor, The Solid Realm presents an holistic capability that starts with Credit and Debit cards and extends to most other blockchain business.
The Solid Realm is a helping hand for all cryptocurrencies by engaging the security, performance, and flexibility that traditional businesses require.
WhitepaperIMMORTAL TOKENS
Unlike "immutable ledgers", the cryptographic tokens of The Solid Realm are ultimately user-controlled and can be pulled out of public services and injected into private services and vice versa.
Tokens of The Solid Realm are designed to out-live the blockchains on which they originate.

"The coin of the realm" is real-world work
TRANSACTION
The Solid Transaction token is a cryptographic wrapper for interacting with a Solid Server. The SOLID Transaction token is configurable via server setting to be a "gas" (transaction fee) token for use with a given Solid Server.
Visa, Mastercard, Secure Form Data... are all carried through Solid Armor and Solid Server infrastructure by Solid Transaction Tokens.
DIGITAL PROPERTY
Solid Digital Property is owner-transferable document storage (binary large object "BLOB") utilizing "owner-chain" cryptography.
Solidify Solid Servers support their own storage capacities at their own scales for binary large object "BLOB" data and can accept or refuse payload and apply thier own fees for storage and replication.
DIGITAL RIGHTS
Solid Digital Rights are the digital rights associated with Solid Digital Property.
Solid Digital Rights are also owner-transferable, and may be allocated in portions by the owner of the related Solid Digital Property.
Who is
"Nyneve"
?
About Nyneve
Nyneve is "The Lady of the Lake" in Arthurian folklore. She lives in an unassailable realm and brings forth Excalibur, the sword of kings.
Having worked on projects for DARPA and the Department of Defense, we have developed a... distaste, for pervasively bad computer security.

Who makes hardware wallets for businesses?
We do
The combination is unbeatable
Solid Armor and the Solid Armory represent
Hardware Wallets and the ability to construct
Hardware Wallets for both end-users and Secure
Server applications.
Missing in the world today are products which
start out secure and then remain secure over
time.
We have selected the very best components that
there are for your secure server needs, and we
have custom built an end-user hardware wallet
that does not have the chips in it that are
needed to communicate over the Internet.
This makes it extremely difficult for a remote
attacker to compromise Solid Armor. Our goal is
to be as secure as paper, in that an attacker
would have to show up in-person in order to
begin to try to steal from an end-user or a
server.
Based on this hardware platform, right out of
the gate we support credit and debit card
transactions that are end-to-end secure, and we
proceed to accommodate all popular
cryptocurrencies.
